WordPress SEO consultant

WordPress powers a large part of the web, and most of its SEO problems look alike: bloated themes, conflicting plugins, duplicate archives, misconfigured cache. I work on WordPress daily, including this very site. I work as an SEO consultant in French, English and Spanish.

WordPress gets fast once stripped

I have built and taken over dozens of WordPress sites, from affiliate blogs to networks of several hundred domains. The pattern is nearly always the same: a heavy page builder, fifteen plugins of which three matter, and a theme that loads everything on every page.

The win rarely sits in a magic cache setting. It sits in what you stop loading: self-hosted fonts, scripts dequeued page by page, images served in the right format and the right size.

Who it is for

  • Editorial sites that grew faster than their structure.
  • Brochure sites that are heavy on mobile.
  • Multisites and networks to maintain without spending your days on it.
  • Non-technical teams who want to publish without breaking SEO.

What you get

  • Plugin and script cleanup, page by page.
  • Core Web Vitals reworked: LCP, CLS, INP measured before and after.
  • Structure and internal linking reviewed, parasitic taxonomies included.
  • Publishing procedure so the team keeps the result.

What I take over on a WordPress site

Plugins, templates, images and internal linking, in that order of gain.

Performance

Core Web Vitals, server and browser cache, images, fonts. A well-tuned WordPress matches static-site scores.
🧩

Theme and plugins

Theme audit, removal of redundant plugins, native settings instead of bloatware.
🧮

Structure and archives

Categories, tags, authors, dates: what deserves the index and what pollutes it.
🔒

Security and hygiene

Updates, accounts, comment spam and hacked pages. A compromised site loses rankings before you notice.
🌐

Multilingual

Polylang or WPML set up properly: hreflang, per-language slugs, synchronised menus.
🔄

Migration and redesign

Theme, domain or builder change without losing rankings: full redirect plan and acceptance tests.
Process

Taking over a WordPress site without breaking it

Measure first, strip second, measure again to prove it.

Scoping

One hour to understand the business model, the margin per lead or per sale, and the accepted level of risk. Without that, no recommendation holds.
Output: scope, measurable goals, link budget

Diagnosis

Crawl, log files, rankings, link profile and a close look at the three competitors holding the top 3. What they actually do, not what they claim.
Output: prioritised audit and link gap estimate

Execution

Technical fixes, information architecture, content production, link acquisition. Weekly checkpoint, shared dashboard.
Output: SEO backlog run in sprints

Consolidation

Measure, cut what does not pay, reinforce what climbs. In these markets a position does not hold by itself.
Output: monthly report and budget arbitration
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which SEO plugin do you recommend?

Rank Math or Yoast both do the job. Settings and site structure matter more than the plugin.

Do page builders hurt SEO?

Indirectly: they bloat the code and slow pages down. Well-used Gutenberg is enough in most cases.

How many plugins is too many?

It is not the count but the duplicates and conflicts. Twenty clean plugins beat eight bad ones.
