SEO attack protection

SEO attack protection

In aggressive markets, rankings must be defended as much as earned: toxic links sent by competitors, abusive DMCA complaints, DDoS during traffic peaks, copied content. I spent two years defending market-leading sites on queries everyone wanted to take. I am an independent SEO consultant based in Thailand.

Being attacked is part of the game

Abusive DMCA notices, toxic link waves, DDoS, serial Google reports: I spent several years absorbing that on iGaming SERPs, sent both by Russian networks and by perfectly official affiliate competitors.

Defence happens before the attack: how fast you detect a link wave, who can file a counter-notice, where your backups are. Once the attack is running, the thing you always lack is time.

Who it is for

  • Top 3 sites on queries that pay well.
  • Affiliate publishers seeing links they never bought.
  • Copied brands: duplicated content, DMCA filed against you.
  • Sites that already dropped and are looking for the cause.

What you get

  • Exposure diagnosis: what can hit you, and through which door.
  • Monitoring of the link profile and the SERPs, with alert thresholds.
  • Written response procedure: disavow, counter-notice, escalation.
  • Recovery plan if the site already took the hit.

The SEO attacks I handle

Negative SEO, abusive DMCA, DDoS: what actually lands on a top 3.

Negative SEO

Toxic link waves and poisoned anchors. Profile analysis, surgical disavow and velocity monitoring.
📜

Abusive DMCA

False complaints that remove your pages from results. Documented counter-notice and ranking recovery.
🔥

DDoS and overload

Attacks during your traffic peaks. Cache, WAF, filtering rules and a failover plan to stay online.
📑

Scraping and duplication

Copied content that ends up outranking you. Detection, complaints and indexation preemption.
🏪

Brand hijacking

Fake sites, brand SERP squatting, fraudulent ads. Taking back the brand SERP result by result.
🚨

Continuous monitoring

Alerts on rankings, new links, uptime and mentions. Detect the attack on day one, not month three.
Process

Detect, respond, recover

Detection speed matters more than the response itself.

Scoping

One hour to understand the business model, the margin per lead or per sale, and the accepted level of risk. Without that, no recommendation holds.
Output: scope, measurable goals, link budget

Diagnosis

Crawl, log files, rankings, link profile and a close look at the three competitors holding the top 3. What they actually do, not what they claim.
Output: prioritised audit and link gap estimate

Execution

Technical fixes, information architecture, content production, link acquisition. Weekly checkpoint, shared dashboard.
Output: SEO backlog run in sprints

Consolidation

Measure, cut what does not pay, reinforce what climbs. In these markets a position does not hold by itself.
Output: monthly report and budget arbitration
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I know I am under attack?

Sharp drop on a few queries, a wave of unknown links, pages gone from the index: check all three before concluding.

Does link disavow still work?

Yes, but as a last resort and surgical. Mass disavowing as a precaution often hurts more than the attack.

What about an abusive DMCA?

A counter-notification within the deadline, with proof of anteriority. Most abusive complainants never follow up.
